Randal B. Hopwood has practiced Family Law in California for over 30 years.
Randy practiced law in Palo Alto for 25 years, specializing in Family Law litigation and representing clients before courts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. His practice also included transactional matters and litigation in the areas of real property, business, personal injury, guardianships, conservatorships, probate and estate planning. Randy was elected and served as President of the Palo Alto Area Bar Association (1987-1988), and served nearly 20 years as a Settlement Conference Judge Pro Tem for the Family Court, Superior Court of Santa Clara County. He also served as a task force or Board member for various Palo Alto area community and civic organizations.
In 2004 Randy relocated to North San Diego County and opened a new law office in Carlsbad. He served three years as Chair of the Family Law Section of the North County Bar Association (2006-2008), and currently serves as a Settlement Conference Pro Tem for the Family Court, North County Division of the Superior Court of San Diego County. Randy’s law practice currently focuses on Family Law litigation, settlement and Mediation.
Randy is a Stanford University graduate (A.B 1971) and received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D. 1977).
